RUBIN SELECTS
Jane Fitz, Paquita Gordon, Ryan Elliott and Ploy
Another quick one this week as life has been lifeing and keeping me busy elsewhere. It has a way of doing that…
Three mixes that have been on heavy rotation for me over the past 12 months:
JANE FITZ b2b PAQUITA GORDON
Rolling, sun-kissed festival techno perfection from two of the First Ladies of the scene. Absolutely belting mix.
RYAN ELLIOTT
The inimitable Mr Elliott is now 12 releases deep in one of the standout new house and techno labels of the past few years: Faith Beat.
In this killer set, he expertly blends together all 34 tracks from the 2024 label comp “Have Faith”.
Proper gear. Bravo.
PLOY
I’ve been a big fan of Sam Smith since his early releases on Hessle, Hemlock and Timedance. He is one of the standout UK artists and DJs of his generation.
I’ve been equally taken (although perhaps a little surprised initially) by his recent detour into chunked-out party House, including this future classic on Faith Beat.
This 3 hour session from last year’s Dekmantel Selectors is top drawer:
Normal service will resume next week.
Until then, peace and love.
