It’s been a while.
I hope you enjoy this short reading and heartfelt commentary inspired by the opening section of Simon Reynold’s seminal ‘Energy Flash: A Journey Through Rave Music and Dance Culture.’
Key things to note: ‘Black’ and ‘White’ are racist categories developed by imperialists in order to divide and rule us.
Declaring that ‘Techno’, a musical art form developed by thousands of individual artists over decades on multiple continents is purely ‘owned’ by one or another of these fake categories is ludicrous.
I hope you also appreciate the spirit within which this film has been made and shared. The need to ‘set the record straight’ and remind people what this thing was all about in the first place.
If you don't, and take this as an opportunity to vent hatred then you might just be part of the problem.
