The Swindle

How corporate money and digital media platforms stole dance music and sold it off to the highest bidder. Mugging off ravers and endangering their lives in the process. Time to press the reset button.

Acid house culture started off pure and perfect.

A thriving independent ecosystem of pirate radio stations, record shops, record labels, DJs, producers, MCs, promoters and, most importantly, ravers.

The most significant youth cultural movement of the past 50 years.

Something the UK should be rightly proud of.

But the advent of the internet, political radicalisation, mass commercialisation and a global ecosystem of super clubs, corporate festivals and digital media platforms have destroyed the culture they supposedly represent.

And during 2020, some of the biggest names in the industry colluded with the British state to implement a system of tyranny that should never have been contemplated, let alone accepted. Whether they realise it or not.

I call it ‘The Swindle’.

Time to press the reset button.

Love to all.
